I hastily put this web page together with the thought that someone may want to view pictures of Bastogne and the surrounding country side. I hope you like the pictures.
Not far from the city of Bastogne they have an historical center and monument. It's in the shape of a star and all of the states are engraved in the top. Inside the monument are walls dictated to the units that served.
I copied the article that Bill Lynch (193 MD) wrote about his recollections of January 7, 1945, and it can be viewed here (PDF Document 912 Kb). The following picture was taken from the October/November 1997 17th Airborne Division publication, Thunder from Heaven. I hope they don't mine me using it here. This is me stand at the same place in February 1998. The following are other pictures of the Aid Station.
